Chloe Shay has taken her Fashion design background and merged it with a new career path in Contemporary Jewellery. Chloe Shay completed her degree in Visual Arts – majoring in Jewellery at Adelaide College of the Arts in 2009 and is now nurturing a sustainable jewellery practice in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia.
Chloe’s style is strongly influence by her fashion background and Haute Couture elements, she combines her jewellery skills and fashion training to create fun and bold wearable jewellery.
Chloe is recognised for her elegant and contemporary loop necklaces in Sterling Silver with hand beaten detailing, often referred to as having a ‘Carnivale’ style. Each necklace is distinctive and no two are the same or repeated.
Her love for organic nature is another element Chloe uses in her designs, the natural curves and formations of nature captivates her imagination. She creates delicate jewellery forms that compliment these natural objects.
Chloe predominately uses Sterling Silver to create her jewellery designs, she has been known to include found objects and other non-precious metal materials in her previous works.
